This is Connie's home and is 1540 square feet. Located in the Government and Business/Typing classrooms of the former Lakota Public High School building. It has all the comforts of home including 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, laundry and furnace /utility room, and large main living area.
All homes have an exterior look of siding and a shingled overhang in the hallway of the building. When finished, the hall will replicate a street. Coach and soffit lights in the overhangs light the hall and add to authenticity of the street look.

Connie chose an open kitchen overlooking the formal dining and living room areas. The island features the sink, dishwasher and raised eating bar. A large pantry with a frosted glass door is on one end. Upper corner cabinet has a glass door for displaying china. Ample space in the kitchen allows for side by side refrigerator/freezer. Space is also available for a full size freezer in her furnace room.
Dining area has ample space to enlarge table for family gatherings.
Kitchen and dining room are conveniently located for ease of serving.

Large living room has cozy atmosphere with an electric fireplace and built-in t.v. unit. The cabinet, which repeats the oak bead board and fluted trim used in the door framing of the home, was designed by Eagle Developers and custom built for Connie by Goche Cabinets. Large windows give the room added light and airy feel.

Large Master bedroom with adjoining bathroom....
Connie enjoys floral arrangements designed especially for her bedroom by Sundree Kitzinger (Designs by Sundree) of Lakota.

Closets include custom design with rollout shelves, drawers, shoe rack and slack rack. Space is utilized for maximum storage.

Master bathroom is roomy and is decorated with a leaf border and a birdhouse theme. It features a Jaccuzi bathtub and a 3'X4' shower with corner seat.

The 5' vanity is white washed oak.

Guest Bedroom doubles as a "heritage room" with a family quilt hung on the wall behind the metal bed that had been Connie's as a child. The room is filled with personal family treasures such as her Grandfather's trunk with his old riding hat, and her Grandmother's Hat and gloves.
To frame Connie's family collection, and reminiscent of her childhood home, she chose oak bead board for the bottom half of the walls topped with a chair rail. Doors and windows are trimmed in fluted oak with oak targets to complete the look.

Guest bathroom is Connie's personal favorite, decorated in a woodsy - pinecone theme. Faux bark wallpaper, pinecone border and accessories were collected while shopping with her sister on a recent visit.

Connie finds extra storage behind double doors just off kitchen. Built-in wall ironing board has convenient location next to laundry room door.

Laundry Room With Lakota School Nostalgic Memorabilia. Chalk board and clock are from school classroom. Lockers also came from the school.
Large storage rack is behind the door and 8' storage area in the furnace room just off laundry room.
Connie pauses at the raised bar of her island for a picture. French door to her heritage / guest room is behind her.
